This brings a question to mind.

If they arrest you in a bar for being drunk, how is the bartender not liable for serving you the beer that got you drunk? Especially if you can't just get a taxi ride home. And I didn't know a bar constituted a public place, I thought the inside of a bar constituted a private property. I wonder how good the legal grounding for this is. Someone should challenge it.
